Very professionnal The tour was very well organized. The company even came ot pick us up from the port directly, along other tourists from their hotel, on our way to Pompei. On-site, we were given headphones to make sure we could hear the guide throughout the tour without problem, which came in very handy given the size of the site. The experience of a lifetime. From being notified about my pickup point the day before, to the final drop-off, this was an expertly organised tour. Maria, my guide, was outstanding and very knowledgeable. On a very hot day she found the shade, pointed out the highlights and guided us through the experience of a lifetime. To walk the streets that Romans walked, to touch the marble and stone they touched, to see the wall paintings and street signs … it was unforgettable.

History of Pompeii We missed the mark on this one. We should have picked a different type of tour. We basically only booked the shuttle service. So we were left navigating getting Audioguide to assist with the tour. The audio guides we purchased/rented were not good. Be sure to get good equipment so that you can enjoy the experience and have the tools to help quide you through the site. There is so much to absorb in Pompeii.

Good, fun Good overall. Be a little patient because the van goes to pick up folks from the hotels and traffic is bad. Pompeii is amazing and interesting.

Myths of Pompeii revealed. Positive: Transportation was very good. Tour was very informative, a proper length and weather was perfect. The crowd was okay. The information provided was ver interesting. Negative: having to pay to use the bathroom.

Fantastic experience The tour was very interesting. Our guide, Alex, spent two hours with us exploring Pompeii: with great professionalism and expertise, and especially with great friendliness, he shared the history of what was this enchanting city, even with anecdotes. The children were also very enthusiastic about the explanation. In conclusion, everything was excellent, especially our guide!

If you are in the area this is an experience you do not want to miss. Super nice to see with your own eyes. DO! For the end of April a week Naples booked for me and my wife. The city itself is of course an attraction but in the area is also plenty to admire. This trip to Pompeii and the Vesiuvius volcano. The trip consisted of a morning (pompeí) and afternoon part (lunch and and trip to and from Vesiuvius). We were picked up from the hotel Royal Continetal but there where more pick-ups for this tour. Our driver was a friendly Italian who steered the luxury minibus safely through heavy traffic. We deliberately chose to take the trip to Pompeii with a guide. Our guide was a friendly Italian young lady who calmly and comprehensively took care of the explanations. Pompeii was really beautiful to see and special that after almost 2000 years there were still ruins standing. How people lived there and what was technologically possible at that time. In the afternoon we take the minibus up the mountain to our pizza lunch and after lunch we continue to Mount Vesuvius. Last part of a few hundred meters on a gravel path along the volcano up. This was doable on foot with a temperature of 25°C. There were also four moments on the path where you could buy a bottle of water and rest if necessary. From the top of the volcano view of the crater where fumes still come out. And also from the top of the mountain a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples. As a disadvantage I would mention that it is not very cheap (€124 pp) But what is that nowadays.

Pompeii It was very difficult to find the trip coordinator to start our journey to Pompeii. It was not an easy transition. The number of people trying to locate the guide/driver

Great tour Booked this tour last minute and so glad we did. I am not sure the tour operators name (maybe Elise?) but she was fantastic. Great job leading our entire group and making the tour educational and even managing some humor. It was very interesting. For me, the 4 hours was enough. If you are more into history you may want more time. The ear piece are ok- just try to stand close to the operator to have less static.

A Great Pompeii Tour Very well organized and easy to be a part of this tour. Pick up and drop off and the drive from the Napoli Train Station was quck. The tour guide was excellent and the ruins and and stories behind them are great. Our guide was both knowledgeable and funny and answered everyone's questions. The group wasn't too big and didn't move too fast or too slow. We had our two childrent with us, 2 and 6, and with the young one in the stroller, it worked out well.

A great day out On our short trip to Sorrento we booked a visit to Pompeii and Vesuvius… it was a great way of seeing both on the same day. With a car collection from and back to our hotel and a mini coach transfer between sites plus a stop off for pizza all went well. Wonderful Pompeii tour The tour couldn’t have been better. So accommodating, from picking us up at the hotel to someone waiting for us when we got there to walk us to meet our guide. No guess work. Great time in Pompeii!! We had such a great time on our Pompeii tour! 🙌 Angela met us at the port and got everything organized, then we joined Erika, our English guide. She was amazing—so knowledgeable and made the history of Pompeii come alive. It was super crowded and really hot and humid 🥵, but we still had enough time to explore and enjoy. Despite the weather, it was an incredible experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

A quick trip through an awe-inspiring civilization It would take much longer than a few hours to see EVERYTHING, but our trip to Pompeii was wonderful! First tour of the region It was my first time on the tour and I was worried if I would be able to join them well, but the meeting place was very easy to understand and I was able to relax and enjoy. Just a shame we weren't able to do the vesuvius part of the trip due to the park being closed for safety following the wildfires the week previously. And we couldnt have the lunch either, but we received a full refund for these parts.

Sorrento and Amalfi Our driver, Rosario, was great. It was a busy day with 4 stops and an early time to get back to our ship. We never felt rushed, each stop provided time to get our and explore. The van was conformable and Rosario is an expert driver for the narrow, winding roads.

Reliable Tour! The communication was very good. Be sure to read the messages you get regarding pick-up. The leaders went out of their way to make sure I got their messages and that I was clear on where we would be picked up. We hadn't been to Naples before and didn't realize that there are many streets that the small van simply couldn't drive through! The tour itself was very organized and they made sure we had time at both Pompeii (guided tour was about 2 hours), then lunch, then get to Mt. Vesuvius with time to climb up and take in the views (if not too foggy!) and pics of the live volcano. Very impressive and worth the climb. It can be quite different weather-wise on the top and check your weather info for Mount Vesuvius specifically before going. Good walking shoes are essential. It is not a long hike (about 30 min each way) but it is steep in places. The operators buy your tickets for you so you do not need to do that. Our guide at Pompeii was Salvatore and he was knowledgeable and fun. Please go to the bathroom before the tour as we had to stand around and wait on people and that could throw things off, timing-wise. It is a short tour considering how large Pompeii is, so be aware if you want a very in-depth experience, you should consider devoting an entire day to Pompeii. You will get a headphone to listen to the guide which I think a great improvement over trying to hear someone over the crowds of people that will be there. We had a relatively small group, about 30 or so. Lunch was included since we chose that option and it was good, but they couldn't make the pizza in the time we had so we had a salad (good) or pasta.

Great tour! I took this tour before visiting a wedding in Italy, and I’m glad I did! Organistation was easy, picked up at the train station and shuttled to Pompeii. We had Salvatore, who was extremely kind, funny and knew everything there was to know about the city. The tour was super informative, the views and ruins were absolutely stunning and the weather was perfect. Price was very fair too! Would recommend

An Unbelievable History experience Pompeii was quite an experience. Unfortunately it was the Italian long weekend so the lines were very very long to get into the site of Pompeii. After waiting 2.5 hours to get in, our tour advisor gave us the option that we could only partake in 1 and not the 2 excursions we had booked for. We decided that it was more important to us about the history of the ruins so we stuck with our superior guide, Salvatore (77 years old) for one incredible and very very informative history lesson. His knowledge, humor and moxy helped to understand what and how the destruction from Mt. Vesuvius had done to this society and culture. He clearly explained the preserved architecture, art and folklore. It was amazing to see what survived the destruction and became an important fact in the creation of Western civilization. Excellent and very surreal. Wonderful guide full of knowledge and quite comedic. The experience was surreal walking through this once flourishing town with Mt Vesuvius live in the background. So much to learn. Needed two days.

Great trip This was an excellent trip!! There is some logistics on the way to Pompeii, meeting other groups etc but you get your full 2 hour tour. The site is huge but I felt the 2 hours was enough. Our guide was exceptional. The site is very organized and all the guides do a good job getting people in and out of rooms. Mt Vesuvius was amazing. This is a up hill 30 -40 minute hike. The ground is loose. This is not for someone with limitations. The crater is huge and it was fascinating seeing the steam still rising. You hike this on your own there are guides giving information at the top. I thought the lunch in between was good. It not amazing but fine for a tour lunch. Salad, pizza or pasta and a drink.

Well worth a visit Salvatore was very good, I think he may have been standing on a hill watching when Pompeii erupted. At 77, he was a wealth of knowledge with quick replies and interesting anecdotes. He kept the tour interesting from start to finish. Thank you, Salvatore.

Great tour guy Everything went smoothly (pick up car on time at my hotel to get me to Pompeii) and the tour guy was great. Plan was also on time.

A great tour Very interesting because of our guide’s descriptions of the ancient city. We learned a lot about the lives of the people and were amazed by what we were able to see. Two hours in the park -starting at 11:30- was a manageable amount of time considering the crowds. There are a couple of restaurants to try after the tour, but we had only 25 minutes to grab something before the bus returned us to Naples.

An excellent day and well worth seeing We had an excellent guide who explained so much. There is so much history and we enjoyed learning about a people and society from so long ago. The guide ensured that the group stayed together. The pick up and drop off was organised well and it was such a relief to know that this was looked after.

Great day out, be ready to walk! We took this day trip from Naples. Pick up by Antonella from a nearby hotel. Drive to Pompei with commentary by Antonella, who spoke good English and French. There we were handed over to Andrea, who expertly guided us around the sites. Pompei is fast, so you really need a good guide and Andrea was very good. Then to Mount Vesuvius where we enjoyed lunch in Kona restaurant. Billed as a light lunch but really a substantial 3 course meal. Then a hefty walk up to the edge of the crater. (about 30min steep climb) but wonderful views. All in all a well organised great day out. Highlight of our trip to Naples.

Loved it! Definitely worth the trip. We only had 2 hours at Pompei. From what I understand you can do 2 days! I didn't realize how big the city was so we probably only saw half of it. I would seriously suggest watching a few documentaries on prime or something before you go. The one I watched showed what certain areas were, like gladiator quarters etc.. It's a lot of info and most of the time I didn't know what I was taking pics of. Mt. Vesuvius... It's a climb! I didn't think I would make it but slow and sure wins the race. FYI.. it's cold and windy at the top! Bring a jacket! The views are breathtaking!

Must do while in Napoli! We went on the trip with Sandra and Cenaroc and they were very helpful, informative, and fun! It was a great use of our time and money while we were on our vacation. I can't recommend it enough.

Must see! Great tour if you only have a half day. We almost didn’t go because we were supposed to head to Amalfi. So glad we did! Nice tour would do the day tour next time but this tour was great as a last minute idea! If you want to see the rest I was told the museum would have completed our experience but we only had time for one. Loved that we were picked up from our hotel.

WOW - Pompeii and The Volcano in one awesome day! This would have to be one of the best experiences - something to treasure. The opportunity to travel to the ancient ruins of Pompeii in a guided tour allows for a deep dive into the history. The tour also allows for the travelling to and from out of your hands in what is a challenging city (Naples) for foreign drivers. The opportunity to then have a traditional lunch on the way up the volcano, was awesome. The food was great, followed by the steep walk up the volcano to its opening. The views of Naples and Salerno and the coastline is one you will never better. Further, the opportunity to be up close and personal with nature's beast, was matched by its beauty and awe. The magnitude of this adventure will never be lost on myself and my daughter as we shared this wonderful natural adventure.

What a great morning Wonderful. I have been to Pompeii several times, but this tour helped me better understand the city and what actually happened there. Our tour guide Elisa was very witty and knowledgeable, explaining and pointing out details that would have gone unnoticed otherwise. The morning flew, and we walked, and walked... but the beauty and info kept us going. The bus there was smooth - we were picked up just in front of Centrale train station. And we returned on another mini bus almost exactly where we started.

great half day tour. this is a great half day tour.. pick up was great and easy off the ship pier.. only thing they had a few stops to pick up other at differ locations which took 30 min out of way... but once there we had a great tour guild.. our group had a super amazon time in Pompeii .. first visit for us all and well spend money. had enough time after they drop us off to enjoy a great local lunch and some shopping before returning to the ship

For the best tour, Get the best tour guide Visiting Pompei is fascinating. But Elisa, our tour guide, brought day to day life of a bygone civilization to life. Her historical knowledge of ancient times and how those they events help shape our modern society was informative as well as entertaining. Elisa was a fabulous guide who figuratively brought Pompei back to life. Request her by name (Elisa) and you’ll get your money’s worth out of this tour.

An absolutely worthwhile excursion. Those who have the fitness should climb Mount Vesuvius. The visit to the Pompeii archaeological site is very impressive and shows vividly the danger Mount Vesuvius poses to the surrounding villages. It gives an insight into a long-ago culture and stimulates the imagination. Then the visit and ascent to Mount Vesuvius. A spectacular experience. A look into the crater of Vesuvius, which presents itself as a very calm mountain and the idea of what kind of forces work inside makes you shudder.

a step back to roman times for 4 irish ladies what a place higher than i expected as knew it had been covered by 30 ft of ash we paid for a guide 4 of us well worth it history stories explinations no problem really liked the stepinng stones in streets and the no vehicular access It leads to a lot of thought how sofisticated they were how sudden it was the detail visible to everybody a look back in time the roman forum as I imagined it the little shops and the takeaway food of then with the splendour of the rich houses Its a thrill to see actual floor tiles they used.. by the way the squeezed orange juice across the road really hit the spot after great experience

Tour of Pompeii with transportation from Naples. Entire experience was great. Easy to find the meeting spot. Staff was profession and efficient. The two hour tour was a good amount of time to see the highlights of Pompeii and our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and spoke very good English. We did not feel rushed. The bus ride from Napoli was comfortable and made the trip very easy. We only had one day in Napoli and I'm very glad we book this tour and would highly recommend it.

Half a day in Pompeii is the way to go! We enjoyed this tour and a half way was ample. We were picked up from our hotel at the instructed time and the driver contacted us the night before. Once we arrived, we were greeted by our tour guide who was friendly, helpful and insightful. We walked around the ruins for approximately two hours and were given about half and hour when we finished to get a quick bite to eat and a drink. The public toilet is 50 c € and it is tightly run 😉 Take water and snacks if you want as they aren’t provided and wear comfortable walking shoes. Certainly well worth doing 😊

Must See Double Attractions As The Two Are Linked To Tell A Story If you are in Naples, then ‘From Naples: Pompeii Ruins & Mount Vesuvius Day Tour’ is a must do. Please wear comfy walking shoes, clothes and definitely a large bottle of water, as this tour’s duration is 7.5hrs, which you will be spending most of your time outdoors – no shelter. Our tour guide was excellent. He clearly showed that he has passion in this field, he was full of knowledge, very informative and straight to the point. I have been on tours where tour guides just waffle on and you can clearly see, that they have lost a lot of people’s attention by mid tour, but not our tour guide… sorry, I can’t remember his name (I have attached a photo of our tour guide – the one wearing a cap and orange quietvox device around his neck and holding a bottle of water). If you get this particular tour guide, you would know that you’re in good hands. Our tour guide described each area in great detail, that you can visually see life in Pompeii before Mt Vesuvius did its thing that is famously known for… buried Pompeii and the population beneath a blanket of ash and pumice. Our tour guide also explained that the sculptures displayed in Pompeii are replicas and if you want to see the genuine sculptures, you can find them housed in a museum in Naples ‘Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli’. You can also find the dead bodies of Pompeii at this same museum to further preserve them, the ones you see at Pompeii are made from the moulds of the original bodies. With this information, I was in two worlds, I wasn’t too sure if I should take photos of the fake sculptures or not and decided not to waste my time taking a plethora of photos of something that’s not genuine and focussed on the building structures in Pompeii instead. But on a positive note, at least the city of Pompeii couldn’t be housed in the museum. Having stated that, I highly recommend to do the tour, it’s worth your time. I found the information and seeing Pompeii in person very fascinating. If you have finished drinking your water during the tour, it’s all good because there are running water fountains in Pompeii ruins for you to refill your bottle. If you want to see the “real” Pompeii… the complete package, it is best to do the tour plus a trip to Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli. We couldn’t do that, as we didn’t have time to squeeze in another day in Naples. After the tour, you return from the beginning, where you can have something to eat / refresh or do what we did and brought our own snacks instead. After our lunch break, we moved onto our next stop… Mt Vesuvius. By then, we were exhausted with the amount of walking we had done already in Pompeii in 34+ degree Celsius heatwave, in fact, our tour guide told us not to push ourselves to do the walk and just enjoy the magnificent views from the Tirone-Alto Vesuvius Forest Reserve – views are equally amazing. But I was determined to walk to the top, just to say “I did it” and see the majestic crater of Mt Vesuvius. It’s not that bad of a walk, as the bus stops close by – approximately 1100 metres walk to the top from where the bus dropped us off. It took me at least half an hour to reach the top of Mt Vesuvius, including stops in between, taking the view and catching my breath. It was an effort and I highly recommend to bring a bottle of water, you will need it. I would definitely recommend to do this tour, rather than walking aimlessly around the Pompeii ruins, let your tour guide take care of the planning and sharing the finer details about the history of Pompeii, it’s well organised as the tour guide knew the interesting places to go to and it’s also hassle-free with traveling between the two places with an aircon coach, no stress of how to get from A to B or parking – value for money.

Incredible experience Very well organised trip with everyone having different pick up points, different languages, and different tours. We met into 1 group for the coach journey which was quick and easy. Then we separated by languages. We had the English tour and Alyssa (excuse spelling) was our tour guide. She was incredible. Fluent in English, perfect to understand. She made great jokes, knew how alot of British slang etc. Her knowledge was impeccable, everything she told us was mesmerising and I came home with masses of information about pompeii. Afterwards, we got into another group for the bus home. HIGHLY recommend this tour option and Alyssa she was fabulous. Definitely a trip to remember

Pompeii from Salerno Easy drive from cruise port to Pompeii. We had a very professional guide around the ruins for two hours and 15 mins later we were on our Mercedes transport back to the port. Don't go in August though. We melted in the heat and there were lots of tourists.

Vesuvius and Pompeii Great tour. A little more time at Mt Vesuvius would have been awesome but it’s a lot to fit into one day. There was just enough time to get to the top and back down. If you want a leisurely walk then stopping at the first station is your best bet.

Excellent value for money Pick up was easy at port , a little bit of waiting on arrival for our tour guide who was excellent. Incredible place and loads to learn about ! Take an umbrella for the shade and loads of water as 1 litre lasted about one hour on the 2 hour tour ! Was so hot and lovely.

Definitely do it! Worth it! It was super impressive to see the old ruins and our guide had great stories ready. It was very entertaining and not boring in a second! The transfer went well, we were on time but the bus departed a bit late, otherwise everything was well organized!

Pompeii - Well worth the Cost and Time If you plan to visit Pompeii, I would strongly recommend you find a tour with a guide. Most people know Pompeii as the ancient Italian city destroyed by Mt. Vesuvius. That is only a very small part of the story. A guide really helps to bring to life the Roman people when Pompeii was at its peak. Just walking around the Pompeii ruins would not give you near the experience as a guide providing you an overview of key locations, civil engineering, and how these people died while being preserved. It is an amazing opportunity to step back time over 2000 yrs again and understand how people lived.

Great Family Day We really enjoyed this tour. The company was great about communicating, the bus was comfortable, with A/C. They made a stop so we could have a snack and use the restroom. We went to Mount Vesuvius first, and they gave us plenty of time to walk to the top and take pictures. It was so cool to see inside the volcano and the views from the top were incredible! We then drove to Pompeii and had a delicious pizza lunch, and then toured the ruins. Our guide was great, she gave us time to look around each place we went and had interesting facts to tell us about what life was like then. We even got to see the bodies. We had time to see a lot of the area and ant the end to buy a cold drink. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Pompeii, lunch and a hike! The beginning of the tour was a little chaotic but to be expected for such a popular tourist destination. All connections were good. Our bus driver to get to Mt. Vesuvius was amazing! Tight curvy road! Hiking to the top of the mountain was not easy especially in the heat, but we'll worth the effort for the views. My suggestion is to dress appropriately!

Amazing! Would do it again I would rate a 4, our guide was great. Maria was vert knowledgeable and made sure everyone fully understood the history. Yes, is ground but we came right before high season hit. We still enjoy our time and the history of Pompeii is a must.

Worth the price Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius are amazing. Taking a tour makes it easier to organize and even cheaper than doing it yourself. Well organized, the guide knew where to go and how to make things happen even when the place was full of tourists. Excellent and hassle-free! From the pick-up and drop-off and the tour with Alessandra (I hope I got her name right), excellent! Alessandra, our tour guide, had so much information and it made me appreciate what I was seeing in the tour. I highly recommend doing these organized tours especially if you are going solo because you wont have to worry about transportation.

Ignore the last review. It's brilliant! I'm unsure what the previous review was expecting when booking a day trip from Rome to Pompeii. Unless they were under the impression that the tour operator had invented a machine to teleport them, a simple Google search prior to booking to check the distance between locations would have suggested the time it takes each way. I'd urge you to take their poor rating with a pinch of salt. This trip was the highlight of our trip to Rome and I would fully recommend it. The transport sets off at 07.30 from Rome, stopping one time for 15 minutes and arriving at around 10.30. We had some free time to buy water, food, go to the toilet etc at the entrance of the park before meeting with the tour guide to get our headsets. The shops at the entrance to the park are expensive, so I'd suggest bringing things with you if you don't want to pay high prices. We bought a sandwich and orange juice which was €12. The tour of the archeological park was amazing. We did the English tour and the guide was informative and funny. Starting around 11.10, lasting just over two hours with around 15 minutes spare time to take photos in the main square of Pompeii, where you can see Mount Vesuvius in the background. You then leave the park, so the previous review is correct in the sense that there is no free time to explore the city yourselves, however, we felt that more time exploring the city ourselves wouldn't have given us any more insight or knowledge that hadn't already been covered on the tour. When the bus driver drops you off, he tells you when and where he will pick you up, for us it was 2.30 at the same place he drops you off, so if having no free time to explore yourself if a deal breaker then it in theory would be possible to hand the headset back to the guide, split off from the group before leaving the park, skip the lunch and have the additional hour or so in the park, although nobody on our tour did this. Ths restaurant for lunch is just across the road from the entrance to the park.The pizza was good, not outatanding but certainly not bad, photo attached, and included is water and Coca-Cola. The bus back started at 2.30 and we did not stop at all, although the driver said if somebody needed to then we could just tell him. The bus is indeed cold in the morning journey as the aircon is on and the temperature is cooler, but is lovely in the afternoon when you need it. We arrived back at 17.10. Overall, although it's a long day it was the best site seeing of our trip and we are so happy we booked!

Awesome Pompeii Professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We we given a reminder text the day before the tour and the bus met us at the correct time and location. We were given headsets that allowed us to hear the presentation. Our tour guide spoke fluent English and gave us so many facts and insight into the Roman culture at that time. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to take some amazing pictures.

Uniquely foggy but fun experience! A unique experience for us bc the day we went to Vesuvius was massively foggy you couldn’t see a thing! But we did it anyway and happily! First, if you message them on WhatsApp on the number provided on the order confirmation they may be able to accommodate your hotel or BnB pickup. We did that and they graciously came to get us and we picked up a few others and were off to Pompeii. The guide in Pompeii was so good - Maria! Knowledgeable, funny, remembered so many names and she was also a stickler for the rules (no line cutting with Maria)! The driver and guide - Andrea and Rita - on the trip to Vesuvius were great. Andrea in particular had to navigate REALLY scary foggy windy roads and he did it like a champ. You couldn’t even see a foot in front of the van. And then they dropped everyone off at their pickup spot on Napoli. Also, before we left to go to Napoli we stopped for the free tasting. All I’ll say is the guy who owns this place is a GREAT salesman! His drinks and candy are top notch too. I’d say the value of the trip was more than fair. You don’t have to think about food or travel for the day and you get to learn a lot about the history of Pompeii and Vesuvius. My ONLY complaint was that we waited an hour (no exaggeration) for pizza at the end of the Pompeii tour. This was the scheduled lunch from the trip and the only restaurant there was not able to make PIZZA quickly. It was kind of nuts - most of us had 5 minutes to eat before we had to go to Vesuvius. Rita was not pleased. (Also the pizza wasn’t even that good comparatively to actual pizzerias in Napoli.) Still highly recommend!

Great day out with family This was an amazing day tour. It is a long day (pickup at 10.15, dropped off around 17.40), but definitely worth it. The guides on the buses and around Pompeii were great. Our Pompeii tour lasted approx. 2hrs. We  were then given around 80mins for lunch and a wander around the stalls, before being taken to Mt Vesuvius. There we were given around 90mins to walk to the top and back. Took us 30mins on the way up. Some other reviews have said it was a bit rushed, but we didn't feel rushed at any point in the day. It all went at a good pace. I'd definitely recommend.

Ask for Miguel as your tour guide! Our tour guide Miguel made the tour! He was funny, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout the two hour tour. He answered all the questions, kept everyone at a good pace, and explained all major points. He made the tour very enjoyable. Also, the communication was excellent from the beginning to the end, pick ip and drop off was a breeze. I would definitely recommend this if you only have a few hours to spare and still want to visit Pompeii.

Elisa Made My Wife's Trip to Pompei Unforgettable Pompei has been on my wife's "bucket list" since we were married -- nearly 42 years. We scheduled this trip 5 times during the pandemic -- and cancelled it 5 times. There was a reason for this -- and the reason was Elisa -- our tour guide for the 6th time! She is fantastic!!!! She is what every professional tour guide strives to be -- a subject expert, a mesmerizing story teller, and that person who you just want to sit down with and listen to for hours. From the moment we set off from the front gate, ubtil 2 hours later as we were exiting, she made you feel that you lived through the eruption of Vesuvius on October 24 79AD. And her anecdotes of the living conditions in that time and how they are relevant today, were great! Our group was about 20, and our tour guide, Elisa, was the absolute best. She has been in the business 30+ years, and not only knows her stuff, but she delivers it with polish and a fantastic sense of humor. Listening to her stories of the history of Pompeii and its people, she really bridged the gap between centuries and made it easy to imagine wandering the 79AD Pompeii before calamity struck. Very informative, great if you have limited time. Our hotel wasn’t on the list for pick up, so was a short walk to a meeting point, which was no trouble. The pick up was running slightly late, which was messaged to me, so no problem. We were driven to Pompeii where we were met by a guide and moved into a larger group. The tour of Pompeii was great Erica was informative, we saw some amazing things. We were humbled and extremely thankful that we got to see this in our lifetime. There is so much to see you could spend the whole day, however we were on a time constraint to get a train to Rome in the afternoon, so the half day suited us perfectly. The only suggestion is that the bus driver on pick up could explain what to expect. We had no idea until we got there, we thought the driver was the guide.

Short & impactful tour Picked up at Marina Piccola in Sorrento for a smooth ride to Pompeii. At our arrival we had some time before the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and informative. A short two hour tour - we only saw a fraction of the ruins so impressive. We then had a bit of time before we hopped back on the van to return to Sorrento and the drive stopped for us to take photos of the beautiful coast.

Great Tour of Pompei The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and the tour of Pompei was excellent. The city tour of Naples was very average (Naples isn’t all that exciting). I thought very highly of the guide as she was exceptional.

Enjoyable visit to Pompeii Arrangements were on time, and the guide at Pompeii was knowledgeable and entertaining. Two hours only gives time for a brief glimpse but this was perfectly adequate for tourists like us who just want a general introduction.

Lovely day in Sorrento Italy Took train from Naples to Sorento. It was easy and fun. In Sorrento we walked around. Really worth it. Private walkway near train station was highlight. Just ask guard if you can get a cocktail at hotel and you will be treated to a gorgeous walk through a private garden. At Hoek splurge on a coffee or lunch.

Childhood dream ticked off bucket list It was a little tricky finding our guide as the sign had many names written small on 1 piece of paper. Other than that, it was a terrific tour. We had bad weather so visiting the creator at Mt Vesuvius was impossible. We still drove to the top but it was covered in clouds. It was freezing up there so please dress appropriately. I didn’t but the guide gave me his rain jacket while he got soaked. Very gentlemanly of him. Our guide took us to a little place to sample locally made alcohol which was delicious. We then went for lunch for some of the best tasting pizza I’ve ever had. Pompeii has been a dream of mine and it didn’t disappoint ( besides the bad weather) Our guide showed us the top spots in our short time there. He was ver informative. We also got plenty of free time around the markets.

Great tour of Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii! Loved it! This day trip to Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii was fantastic! The hike up to Mt Vesuvius was challenging for this 65 and 70 year old girlfriends in the heat and humidity but we did it! So happy we did! Nice stop along the way at a limoncello tasting. Yummy! Pompeii guide was so fantastic, I believe his name was Michael…he made all that history so full of fun and it came alive! Thank you! The pizza lunch was great! It was a full day but worth it!

Fun & Organized Tour The trip went well and exactly to plan. The guided tour of Pompeii was interesting with lots of history to learn about the city. Vesuvius was unguided, with 90 minutes to hike up to the crater and freely walk around for the scenic views. The bus transport to Pompeii and Vesuvius alongside the included entrance tickets to both sites made the experience very convenient. Overall, no complaints.

Excellent tour and guide Fantastic tour with an excellent guide. Going with a guide means that you get into all the places that independently you would miss or waste time wandering around in the heat. The only difficult part was the organising for the transfers both to and from the hotels felt pretty unorganised, switching of transporting vehicles and lots of hanging about. On the way back after the tour you need to hand back your headphones ( which are given to you at the beginning of the tour so you can hear the guide) and the have to congregate in the busy main eating area, so beware you don't miss your name being called out for the different transport back to your hotel

Very good experience I really liked the tour, I think it is essential for a visit to Pompeii, to understand the history, understand the ruins and also be able to get the most out of the visit. When it's hot it can be quite tiring, so it was a great decision to take the half-day tour. To have continued for us would have been too much.

my eventful trip hello i’m here to inform you that this place was very very nice. my mom broke her phone screen and her had but we found a paper towel but we both enjoyed our time in such fascinating place whoop 🎉
